Mohotani, We Hardly Knew Ye

June 20, 2012:  Evening

This is the island of Mohotani, also known as Montane.

We stopped here on our way to Fatu Hiva, hoping to anchor and do some birding. However, the anchorage was completely exposed and we decided to continue on to Fatu Hiva without stopping. We enjoyed some nice views of the island on our way past.

  1. Wow! Very cool! Ive always been intrigued by this island....it looks somewhat lush, as if its "repaired" itself from the days when it was a deserted island, overrun by sheep. Very nice pics!! :)
